TOPICS AND SPEAKERS
Kia Ora,
Anyone involved in sport realises that achieving and maintaining top individual or team performance in today's sporting environment is about understanding the whole package.
It's not just about the particular individual or sport itself anymore, but also the disciplined routine, management, nutrition and coming to grips with the 'cultural factor' that many of today's top sporting coaches, managers and sports administrators are seeking to understand.
That's why on the 17th and 18th March 2006, the NZ Sports Academy will be host to the INTERNATIONAL INDIGENOUS SPORTS CONFERENCE being held at the Rotorua Convention Centre.
The purpose of the conference is to create an environment where coaches, administrators, management and sports people alike can get together to discuss, share and learn about proven models of best practice that assist in successfully blending culture with sports in order to enhance performance and team dynamics.
Conference numbers are limited to 300, so act now and get your registration in today!
CONFERENCE THEME - BUILDING THE PYRAMID TO SUCCESS
The pyramid provides a framework for the conference we believe these components encompasses all of the pre requisites for building success in sport for indigenous people.
The top being the pinnacle of success.
The next layer incorporates two major ingredients that contribute to sporting success which breaks down to Coaching (left side of pyramid diagram) and Player (right side of pyramid diagram) environment and management.
The bottom layer includes the speakers who will provide participants with the tools to make their way up to the top of the pyramid.
